Jessica Tanzer - Harlan
Jessica Tanzer is a San Francisco based photographer and card carrying member of Tank Hill Crew.
During the AIDS crisis and during Tanzer's involvement with activist groups like ACT UP and Queer Nation she, along with her models, producers and publishers and all involved used art to bring awareness to the importance of safe sex (note the rubber glove in Rosa's pocket) and rampant homophobia during a time of plague, right wing government and widespread misinformation campaigns. She studied at San Francisco Art Institute.
Cornell University's Human Sexuality Collection has acquired Jessica Tanzer's archives where they join the papers of Susie Bright, On Our Backs, Tee Corinne, Honey Lee Cottrell and many other trailblazers of queer history.
We are strong.
We are beautiful.
We are mighty.
*This was our test shirt last year pre-election on our Beta shop. If you purchased this shirt and the die didn’t hold up we can replace some styles. We finally settled on a printer who puts out a good and lasting product.
This updated unisex essential fits like a well-loved favorite. Super soft cotton and excellent quality print makes one to fall in love with it over and over again.
